You Don't Have to Know What You're Doing. You Just Have to Show Up.
The Roosevelt Collective is a movement studio in Irvine built on the discipline of Bikram Yoga - with expanded modalities, a tight-knit community, and nearly two decades of people discovering what they're capable of. Your first two weeks are on us for $29.

Not sure where to start? Most newcomers begin with Bikram Yoga.
Check the schedule and pick a time that works for you.
Here's the honest version of what your first class looks like.
Every class at TRC will challenge you — that's the point. Show up, let the instructor know it's your first time, and trust the process.
Bikram Yoga The room is heated to approximately 105°F. Your only job that first class is to stay in the room and breathe. You don't have to do every posture. You don't have to do them perfectly. Come back a second time and notice how different it feels. That's when it starts.
Strength & Conditioning A coached group environment that pushes you without losing you. Movements scale to your fitness level. Come ready to work.
Kettlebell Fundamentals Technique-first. You'll be moving and you'll feel it — but the focus is on doing it right before going heavy. A smart way to build a foundation that holds up over time.
Set yourself up right.
Hydrate Early
Start drinking water the day before your class - not just the morning of. This matters across all of our class types, and it matters especially for Bikram. Pre-hydration makes the difference between a tough class and a miserable one.
Eat Light
Nothing heavy in the 2-3 hours before class. A light snack is fine. A full meal is not your friend in any of our formats.
What to Bring
Form-fitting athletic wear, a mat, and a large water bottle will serve you well in any class. No shoes needed - all of our classes are barefoot. Rental mats and towels are available at the front desk if you need them.
For Bikram, we recommend bringing a towel to lay over your mat - you'll thank yourself halfway through class.
Arrive Early
Give yourself 10-15 minutes before your first class. Check in at the front desk, let us know it's your first time, and we'll get you pointed in the right direction.

A few things that make the space work for everyone.
-
Silence your phone before entering the studio - no screens inside the room class
-
Try to arrive before class starts and stay for the full session if you can
-
The practice space is quiet and focused - save conversations for the lobby
-
Respect the space, the equipment, and the people moving alongside you
Before You Ask...
Do I need any experience?
None. Beginners are welcome in every class. Just let the instructor know it's your first time and they'll take care of you.
Which class should I start with?
There's no wrong answer. Most new members start with Bikram Yoga, but if you're more drawn to strength training, Strength & Conditioning or Kettlebell Fundamentals is a great entry point. Your intro gives you access to everything - use it.
What if I'm not flexible?
That's exactly why you come. Flexibility is an outcome, not a requirement - and that applies to every class we offer.
Is the yoga room really that hot?
Yes - approximately 105°F. It sounds extreme until you experience what it does for your body. Most people can't imagine going back to a cold room after a few weeks.
What amenities do you have?
We have showers, blow dryers, and lockers with self-set combinations so you can secure your belongings during class. Rental mats are available at the front desk, and towels are available for purchase. We also sell water and other beverages - just note that we don't have a water dispenser on site, so if you're bringing your own, come with a full bottle.
